This exceptionally rare barrel-aged sake explores new territory where Japanese sake craftsmanship meets whisky maturation. Carefully aged for six months in whisky casks, the sake develops a complex and expressive profile that is both refined and distinctive.
On the nose, elegant rose-like floral aromas rise first, followed by concentrated dried fruit notes reminiscent of raisins and sultanas. As the sake opens, subtle layers of oak, vanilla, and gentle spice emerge, clearly reflecting the influence of EX-Shizuoka Distillery’s whisky barrels. The palate is smooth and rounded, offering depth and structure, with a lingering finish marked by mature wood tones and refined umami.
